Biography
Dr Sosa is associate professor of surgery and medical oncology at Yale. Her clinical interests are in endocrine surgery and thyroid cancer. Her research interests are in health services and clinical trials. She is widely published in outcomes analysis, focusing on the identification of predictors of clinical and economic outcomes following a number of endocrine procedures. At Yale, she is the principal investigator for five international drug trials for locally advanced and metastatic thyroid cancer. Dr Sosa is the recipient of research grants from the Paget Foundation, the Association for Academic Surgery, the Donaghue Foundation, and the American Geriatrics Association. She is associate editor of the Journal of Surgical Research, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Journal of Thyroid Research. She received her AB at Princeton, her MA at Oxford, and her MD at Johns Hopkins, where she completed her surgical training.Education
